Wine Tasting on Punts £35

Punting in Cambridge, but with a difference! What better way to enjoy the wonderful views of the college backs than a Wine Tasting Chauffered Punt along the river?

This is the ideal Cambridge punting experience for groups and is organised in partnership with a licensed Cambridge punt tour operator. Glide luxuriously along the river Cam for 1 hour taking in the sights while tasting samples of six delicious wines.

You pay the punting company seperately, but the experience is likely to cost roughly £35 per head depending on numbers (min 8 people). Please email for a quote. 

Your host will guide you through a selection of wines explaining the different styles and flavours and, if you wish, adding a fun guessing game element asking you to correctly identify grape varieties to win a prize (with our help and coaching). If you would like to specify a particular theme, e.g. English sparkling wines or a specific country or region, we can fulfil your request. 

It's a terrific idea for Corporate Wine tasting, whether a business social, sales team reward or client entertainment. Our wine host can entertain up to 23 guests in a single trip using 2 punts each with its own chauffeur (for larger groups we simply send more wine hosts)! Bad weather plan - being flat Cambridge receives less rainfall than average, but the punting company supplies umbrellas and blankets if it showers. If it's raining very badly we can decamp to the luxurious surrounds of 12A Private Members' club and do the wine tasting there so that your day isn't ruined! In those circumstances the punting company offers either a free re-schedule or a refund less a 25% deposit.
